Dannee Damerell
Education:
- University of Utah, B.A. in Sociology/Criminology
- Westminster University, Paralegal Certificate
Born and raised in Oregon, I have had the pleasure of calling all parts of the Willamette Valley my home. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Utah in 1990, followed by a Paralegal Certificate from Westminster University. Since 1992, I have provided paralegal services to law firms in both Utah and Oregon, working in areas such as workers' compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and mass tort/class action litigation. In 2004, I founded That Girl PI, and worked as a private investigator in the Portland Metro Area, focusing on criminal defense investigation.
A call to the south end of the Willamette Valley brought me to Eugene in 2014, where I found my place working with Kirk Strohman as his probate and estate planning paralegal. Over time, I have transitioned from client-focused work to providing behind-the-scenes support to the firm, with a focus on database management and process development. As Operations Coordinator, I am involved in many aspects of the firm, including overseeing forms and database management, and developing internal guidelines and workflows.
Outside the office, you will likely find me in the garden with my chickens, rabbits, and honeybees. I am a Master Food Preserver and medicinal herbalist, striving to grow as much of my own food and medicine as possible. I enjoy gardening, yoga, beach trips, and spending time with my husband on our homestead.
